My internet's not working. What should I do?
There are many things that can keep you from getting online. The most common is router trouble.
If you're using a router wirelessly, the first thing to do is connect a cable directly from your computer to the router. This will help rule out interference with the wireless router.
The next thing to do is make sure all the cables going into and out of the router are securely connected. This includes the cable coming into your house from our radio and the cable that connects from your router to your computer.
If all the cables are properly connected and you still can't get online, unplug the router from power for a few seconds, then plug it back in. Make sure all the proper lights come back on, specifically one labeled "internet" or "WAN" (check your router's manual for more on what the different lights mean).
If you're still unable to get online, the next thing to try is power cycling the Believe Broadband radio. You can find the power supply by finding where the cable comes into your home or office, then following the cable until it splits off into a power supply. Follow the power cord to where it's plugged in. Unplug it, wait a few seconds, then plug it back in.
After power cycling the radio, wait about five minutes before trying to get online.
If you still can't get online, there may be an outage in your area. Call 410-902-0070 and select option 2, then option 1. If there is no reported outage and you're unable to get online, select the option to speak with a support technician.
I just bought a new router. Can Believe Broadband help me set it up?
Believe Broadband will help you with the basics of setting up your router or computer to work with our service. Before calling us for help, please follow the setup instructions that came with your router. The router setup should ask you how you want to connect to the internet. Most users will select "PPPoE" or "My connection requires a username and password." If you don't have the username and password given to you at the time of installation, call 410-902-0070 for help.
I'm moving. Can I stay with Believe Broadband?
As far ahead of time as possible, call us at 410-902-0070 and let us know when you're moving and what your new address is. We'll check to see if it's within our service area. If it is, we'll schedule a time to move the equipment.
I want to cancel my service. What should I do?
Send an e-mail to billing@believewireless.com as far ahead of your move as possible. Make sure to include your phone number. Then we'll call you to schedule a date and time to pick up your equipment.
